Terms and Conditions
All persons visiting WSUK LIVE, do so subject to the following Terms and Conditions of WorldSkills UK, the organisation which brings together WorldSkills UK Competitions, WSUK LIVE, and Skills Champions.
By confirming you have read and understood the Terms and Conditions, you agree to WorldSkills UK communicating with you about your visit.

WorldSkills UK undertakes filming and photography at WorldSkills UK LIVE for promotional purposes and for sharing with print, digital and broadcast media at and after the event. By registering for LIVE you agree to waive copyright on all film and photographic material. Where you or a member(s) of your group do not wish to be filmed/photographed we ask that you make this known at the Registration Point on entry where you can ask for a no-publicity badge for as many people as required. In this way, if individuals are photographed we can make sure at the edit stage that the shots/film are not used.
If you register on behalf of another person you confirm that you shall obtain the consent of that person and parental consent if applicable, to these Terms and Conditions and in particular that person has provided the consents required for the use of his/her data under the Terms and Conditions.
Entry to WSUK LIVE
By registering to attend WSUK LIVE all visitors will abide by health and safety and security regulations as instructed by WorldSkills UK and the NEC Birmingham. Failure to do so may result in refusal of entry or removal from the show.
Entry to WSUK LIVE is subject to a security search and check for all visitors.
All School/ College groups remain the responsibility of that organisation, whilst onsite at the NEC.
You must supervise your group. Any visitors posing a risk to others will be removed from the venue.
We will call your mobile if there is an incident or accident involving members of your group, so please make sure that the number we have is correct.
Please ensure that you and the members of your group know to contact security if someone is lost and if possible please ensure that students are in uniform.
School/college parties are required to be accompanied by a minimum of one adult to every 15 children.
WorldSkills UK LIVE has a risk assessment for the entire event but each group leader is responsible for producing a specific risk assessment for your visit. A guide to completing your own risk assessment, with an example, is on our website at https://www.worldskillsuk.org/risk-assessment
Visitors must remain within permitted areas and must adhere to WSUK and the NEC Birmingham Health and Safety procedures and guidelines at all times during their visit.
Visitors must keep personal belongings with them at all times. WSUK accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft or damage to any personal items.
WSUK reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to refuse entry to or remove from WSUK LIVE or the vicinity any visitor who:
- is not wearing a valid access pass / wristband
- behaves in a manner which, in the opinion of WSUK has, or is likely to affect the safety or enjoyment of other visitors or delegates
- uses threatening, annoying, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or in any way provokes or behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace
- appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- is found in possession of drugs or alcohol
- is found in possession of offensive weapons or dangerous articles (it is prohibited to take to WSUK LIVE any weapons, fireworks, smoke bombs, glass bottles, flammable liquids or other articles, which may cause injury; in addition, the throwing of any article which could cause injury or annoyance is strictly prohibited)
- is found smoking inside WSUK LIVE venue or in any space designated as a ‘no smoking’ area
- has brought a dog or any other live animal with them that is not required for special access requirements (e.g. Guide Dogs).
WSUK reserves the right to refuse entry without reason or justification.
Visitors and delegates are required to organise their own transportation to and from WSUK. Groups that arrive by coach and have booked into WSUK are required to arrive at the designated arrival time.
Complimentary coach parking is available at the NEC Birmingham for school and college groups. Parking permits will be sent with joining instructions in advance of the Event.
