VMware Terms and ConditionsBY REGISTERING FOR AND ATTENDING THE vForum EVENT (`EVENT`), I HEREBY AGREE TO RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS VMWARE (`EVENT HOST`), ITS EMPLOYEES, VENDORS, AGENTS, AND CONTRACTORS FROM ANY AND ALL ALLEGED AND/OR ACTUAL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, ACTIONS, LAWSUITS, DAMAGES, OR LOSSES, OF ANY KIND (`CLAIM`) WHICH ARISE OUT OF OR RESULT FROM MY ATTENDANCE AT AND PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PROPERTY DAMAGE AND PERSONAL INJURIES, WHETHER OR NOT FORESEEABLE. I understand that Event Host or its authorized representatives may conduct interviews and may take photographs and/or videotape at the Event. I hereby grant to the Event Host and its authorized representatives the absolute right and permission to use my name, likeness, biographical information, voice, content of any interview, image and/or photograph and any other indicia of persona (`Persona`) or to refrain from doing so, in any manner or media whether existing now or hereinafter developed (including without limitation the World Wide Web and the Internet), worldwide, for trade, advertising and/or promotional purposes. I agree I shall have no rights of review or approval, no Claim to compensation, and no Claim arising out of or resulting from the use, alteration, blurring, distortion or illusionary effect (whether intentional or otherwise) or use in any composite form of my Persona and agree to release and hold Event Host and its authorized representatives harmless for any and all such use(s). |

DATA PROTECTION
In order to process your booking and to ensure that your event registration runs smoothly and meets your requirements, it is necessary to request the information provided in this registration form.
VMware, as the data controller, is responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is protected and secure. VMware and Grass Roots DMS have entered into an agreement whereby Grass Roots DMS shall process information in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The information you have provided in this registration form will be passed on to or collected by Grass Roots DMS to secure your event registration, hotel reservation and local destination management. In processing such information, Grass Roots DMS shall ensure that all suppliers to whom personal information is passed shall be made aware of the restrictions in using such personal information and shall only use the personal information to process any event registration and/or hotel reservation arrangements in strict accordance with instructions from VMware, for the sole purpose of providing event registration and/or hotel reservation services for the event. This also applies to any sensitive information you provide such as details of any disabilities or dietary or religious requirements. The information may also be provided to public authorities including (but not limited to) customs/immigration if required by them, or by law. Under no circumstances will any personal information be used for further marketing or advertising.
In the event that the destination is not within the European Economic Area (EEA), you should be aware that controls on data protection may not be as strong as those in the United Kingdom. Neither VMware nor Grass Roots DMS will pass your information to any party who is not responsible for a part of your registration arrangements for the event.
Please be aware that if VMware and Grass Roots DMS cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, whether in the EEA or not, your registration cannot be processed. By submitting this registration form you consent to this information being passed onto the relevant persons.
In order to perform and provide the services, suppliers may be required to pass personal information onto third parties. In such instances Grass Roots DMS will approve such transfers on the condition that these third parties will adhere to the restrictions and obligations imposed on suppliers on the use of personal information.
You are entitled to a copy of your information held by VMware and Grass Roots DMS. If you would like to see this, please contact the VMware. A small charge may be payable for providing this information. |
